Rohan and Abbey de Timadeuc
A 20 minute drive will take you to the town of Rohan, this is a picturesque town, with many bars, restaurants, cafe's, the Canal, a Lake, and a play park for the kids, a nice place to spend a few hours, walking along the canal, into the town and around the lake, best parking is at the lake
From Rohan you can visit the Abbaye Cistercienne Notre-Dame de Timadeuc (entry to the abbaye is only permitted for prayers and for persons wishing to seek sanctuary in the monastery for a day, weekend or a week to engage with the monastery’s work) - Although access is not permitted into the Monastery you can visit the shop and entrance to the abbey, purchase the produce, books for prayer and other items from the abbey shop and see a video about the abbey
Fishing is allowed in the lake and canal, but you do need a fishing licence, please see our fishing pages for more info
