Our second holiday in Brittany in recent years but our first in Moreac. We’re thinking of relocating to France and this area will be one of our areas to research further!

The information provided in the books was very useful. Lesley, Simon, Josh and Jake have all been terrific, and most helpful

We have made several trips south to “The Sea-Side” and can recommend visits to Sarzeau, and the chateau at Suscinio

We enjoyed a wonderful morning at Auray followed by an equally wonderful afternoon at Quiberon on the Cotes Savage

Our final trip to the sea was to Damgan and Slightly further to Penerf, where we found a very good Creperie called “Les Pechers”

Other places visited included, Pontivy, Josselin, Rochefort-en-Terre (very picturesque) and La Gacilly (Gentlemen be warned there is a retail feature for “Yves Rocher” down by the river (perfumes!) – Ladies will certainly be interested in taking a look)

Lots of nice meals in the area and certainly recommend the “Aux Vieux Pressoir” in Moreac

The “Cider House” is very comfortable and after a fortnight we are sorry to leave, but we will be back.

Richard and Penny, Telford, Shropshire, September 2011

We have enjoyed a lovely holiday at Willow Gite (our third year here)

We had hot sunny days for our visits to Carnac and Pont Aven.

At Carnac we went on “Le petit train” ride, which takes you along the sea front and around the standing stones. Very good value and a commentary in English!

At Pont Aven we did a boat trip down the river estuary to the sea. A beautiful sail

We have also been to Josselin, Ploermel Lake, the Sculpture Park, Locmine market and Suscinio beach. All very interesting places to visit and then a cosy base to return to enjoy a drink in the garden and a good meal

Thanks to Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake for being such welcoming hosts, always ready to help if required.

We certainly hope to visit “Le Grange Gites” in the future

Sylvia and John, Cheshire, September 2011

We arrived to a friendly, warm welcome and found a well-equipped comfortable Gite, with everything we needed. The complex is well designed with individual patio areas, convenient parking at the front and a great communal garden with pool and play areas – great for families and children. (although we didn’t bring any this time, I know my family would love it!)

The surrounding area is very pretty with picturesque local villages – Josselin, beautiful with canal and chateau, and Locmine market a great morning out.

Lesley, Simon and Josh have been so helpful, especially with the language when unfortunately we had to take my brother to hospital in Rennes for an operation and manage visits from the local nurse afterwards.

Despite the my brothers problems, I have managed to enjoy a restful break here and the lovely September sun, my first visit, but hopefully not the last

Many thanks, Shelia

Thank you all for your help and kindness during our stay, we can only reiterate the comments made above. We definitely intend to stay here again in the very near future as the facilities and access to our farmhouse that we are gradually trying to renovate just around the corner is ideal.

Many thanks, Brian and Beryl

Thanks Lesley, Simon and especially Josh who helped us with the language barrier, due to Brians Hospital difficulties.

We hope to return to you as soon as his eye improves.

It was Lovely to meet up again, after such a long time, now to see how well things are going for you all. Many, many thanks Beryl

Brian, Beryl and Shelia, Wiltshire, September 2011

An excellent first time experience of a Gite, and France

Lovely quiet rural location with plenty of toys / activities for the children

The Gites are picturesque with all the equipment you need

The books you provide in the Gites are useful and contain lots of information

Lesley is very helpful and approachable – even when her tea is disturbed – sorry!

An excellent holiday enjoyed by all ages from 18 months to 82 years

Willow, Bramble and the Cider House

The Wilson-Bestwick party, Derbyshire, September 2011

Thank you all for a lovely holiday. We had a fantastic time.

The Gites were great and the garden area and pool were just amazing.

The children so enjoyed themselves and were able to have adventures in a safe environment.

There were 21 of us in all 4 Gites, Willow, Bramble, Ivy and the Cider House, we were from 3 weeks to 62 years and we were all able to have a really good holiday together here

Thanks again

Thank you Lesley, Simon, Josh and Jake for making our family holiday and our twin sons 40th Birthday so special.

We all had a brilliant holiday with all 4 Gites! and really do not want to leave.

It is such an idyllic place to have a family holiday and the facilities for Granddads and Nans, Mummies and Daddies are ideal.

We will be back to see you soon, Merci

Brian and Jan, and the Kendal Clan, Berkshire, August 2011

Thank you for the most fab 2 weeks! We have all had the most wonderful holiday your hospitality has been fantastic, we have felt more like your guests rather than paying customers.

The Gites have been everything we’ve wanted and more. The children have loved the garden, feeding the chickens and drawing in the secret cabin. Chloe has almost lived in the pool. We think she has gills!

We have been to many places that you have recommended in the book. We loved Josselin and Damgan Beach. The boys had a great time fishing too!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather and we will go home with fantastic memories of Nick and Paul’s 40th Birthday

Thank you Lesley, Simon, Josh and Jake !!!

P.S the Jam and BBQ chutney was to die for.

We will definitely be back and will recommend your Gites to friends and family

Thanks so much and see you very soon

Fiona, Paul, Chloe (8), Harry (2) and Charlie (2), and again the rest of the Kendal Clan. X, Berkshire, August 2011

A lovely holiday – great hosts – an opportunity to discover rural France

What a privilege, Thanks

Wendy, Sedgefield, South Africa, August 2011

This is our second visit and it has felt like coming home! Just what you need to relax and enjoy being with your family.

The garden area and pool are so safe and well kept that the children can play happily all of the time.

A super Gite, clean and everything you need

We have really enjoyed the local area, cycling, running and the new park in Moreac.

A super place to come and relax.

The children have made the most of their time here and don’t want to leave

Thank you once again

Ruth, Steve, Fraser (7) and Matthew (3), Exeter, Devon, July 2011

We have had a super time here at Cider House, made more pleasurable by the fact that our families were in the two equally lovely Gites (Ivy and Bramble Gite)

Well done on super facilities; the girls loved the pool and the company!

We have enjoyed exploring this part of Brittany

The welcome packs were an excellent idea – it meant we didn’t have to rush out that evening for things for dinner and breakfast

Thank you for all the extras, particularly home grown herbs, veg and eggs!

Alison, Roger, Eve, Amelie and Sylvia, Ipswich, Suffolk, July 2011

This is our second visit to the "Willow Gite". Lesley and Simon were terrific hosts, and were a great help with a doctor visit and getting meds for an unexpected illness!

We all had a great time again, and will defiantly be back (again!)

Thanks Lesley, Simon and the Lads

Johnny, Keelin, Freya (9), Oisin (nearly 6), Wicklow, Ireland, July 2011

Short but pleasant stay at “Ivy Gite”, the weather was not always perfect but we quite enjoyed the area (visiting all the places of interest)

Thank you to Josh for the afternoon at the lake!

Good luck to Lesley and Simon for the works to come (Garage…)

All our best wishes to the whole family

Annick, Jonathan and Kevin, Haute-Savoie-74, France, July 2011

Our week here has been fantastic, really enjoyable and so relaxing. All these little extra touches you provide has made things so easy.

The kids have had a ball feeding the animals and using every bit of play equipment you’ve got. The pool has been the icing on the cake.

For our first overseas holiday as a family you have set a very high bar for any other holiday together

It was also great having those supplies on site for those times when we ran out / miss jugged the opening times of the shops, very handy

We love it and will be back, hopefully next year and we’ll bring others as well

Thank you to you both, have a great year and we will see you again.

Lisa, Paul, Connor, Will, Niamh, Cora, Bray, Ireland, July 2011

Thank you for an enjoyable 2 weeks here- we appreciated your hospitality and help finding horse riding etc. I will miss the chickens ……!

We had some great days out at Camors Adventure Forest, Vannes (and the aquarium), Boys enjoyed cycling from Josselin. We would recommend the “aux vieux pressoir” in Moreac for a meal…

Our daughter went riding at “Les Korrigans” near Josselin which she found would be better for younger kids.

Wishing Simon, Lesley and the boys well for the future

Elaine, Richard, Ereann (14) and Euan (10), Scotland, July 2011

We are finishing up a terrific 2-week holiday here and want to say a huge thanks to Lesley, Simon, Josh and Jake for all their help in making our holiday so enjoyable. Thanks for the local info and responding to request and the all-round efficiency and pleasantness.

Our boys had a terrific time, greatly helped by their (pirate) friends – next door whom they bonded with immediately. The facilities here - Pool, tree house, “cabin” and games – were brilliant and encouraged great interaction between the children staying in all the Gites

Of the trips we took, some of the highlights were:

Castles at Suscinio (& Beach too), and Josselin (Fab)
Old Town of Vannes
Sailing at Ploermel (v-cheap and enjoyable)
Horse-riding at “Korrigans” near Josselin (tiny ponies for the children – great introduction for them)
Cycling along the Nantes - Brest Canal (bike hire below the chateau in Josselin)
Megaliths and beach (and beach club for the kids) at Carnac
We’ll definitely be back!

Anne Marie, James, Robert (5) and Steven (3), Dublin, Ireland, July 2011

We have enjoyed our stay in the Cider House Gite and will be sorry to leave – at least we have the prospect of returning sometime

We are impressed with the way you have thought of everything to make your visitors stay so comfortable and enjoyable – from the in-house facilities to the gardens and pool

The location is very central and we were able to easily explore both West and East Brittany.

You’re in Gite brochures were very useful and by following your recommendations we were able to chose the best spots on our first day

Congratulations on converting the old barn to the Gite Complex – you did a fantastic job

Your assistance whenever requested upon was much appreciated, you were available without being intrusive

To Simon and Lesley thank you for enabling us to have such a lovely holiday.

Sincerest, Wyn, Malika and Betty, Cymry, Wales, June / July 2011

Thank you for a lovely stay

We have all had a great week, thank you for the help and information about the local area; we haven’t been short of suitable places to visit

Thank you all again and best wishes for the future

Adrian, Rebecca, Bobby (4) and Lauren (2), Dorset, June 2011

Had a lovely week hare, at the Cider House Gite.

The pictures on the Gite website don’t do the Gite justice. I know it’s hard to grasp space in a photo but it really was bigger than we expected!

The Gite was perfect and exceeded our expectations the kids loved the garden and feeding the hens

This was a perfect place from where to explore the Morbihan area.

Simon and Lesley were always on hand to answer any questions we had and are very knowledgeable, in all aspects of the area.

Branfere was an excellent day trip for anybody with young children (especially the bird show)

Thanks again for everything to make our first family holiday to France an excellent one, which we will never forget.

Billy, Amanda, Trevor and Jenny, Sligo, Ireland, June 2011

We had a very enjoyable two weeks in the Ivy Gite.

Our (2 yr old) son enjoyed: -

The dinosaur park at Malensac
The submarine base at Lorient
The aquarium at Vannes
The Manoir d’automobiles at Loheac
And especially the Gite Gardens

We enjoyed the rural setting and the chance to explore Brittany!

This was our first time using a Gite and it was so great.

Simon and Lesley were so helpful and inviting.

The accommodation and facilities were great, especially the garden area, where our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed it

It was a great experience and we loved every moment of our stay

Thank you

Gay, Eamon and Martin, Wexford, Ireland, June 2011

Thank you all very much for the lovely Gite and your invaluable help. We thought your fishing lake and gardens were great, it was a pleasure to sit there for the afternoons.

Of all the places we went to, I thought Josselin was the best, for both sight seeing and the market.

No complaints about anything :-)

We had a lovely time

Brittany is a lovely part of France; the people are very friendly which makes all the difference.

Good luck for the future

Brenda and Mick, Hertfordshire, May 2011

Our Second stay at “Le Grange Gites”, we have been so lucky with the glorious weather and have explored the region further, especially the “Gulf de Morbihan”

Auray and Ile aux Moines (by ferry from Baden) was fabulous

The Gite, region and fabulous gardens have made this such a great holiday, we have no doubt that we will return again and again!

We even had to deal with Car-Glass after a chip on the windscreen!

Thank you again Lesley, Simon and the boys (without forgetting daisy 2!)

Cheryl, Gareth, Fran (5) and William (6 months), East Yorkshire, April 2011

PS: The extra cot in the lounge for Will was fab.

We have had a very relaxing holiday in Le Grange Gites and have been very lucky with the weather.

Each day we have taken picnics and visited local towns, parks, and beaches.

Our Girls have particularly loved the gardens here, the selection of garden play apparatus available has kept them amused for hours – thank you!!

They have also enjoyed feeding Daisy the rabbit and the chickens such fun for them!

Simon and Lesley have been great hosts; we wish them well with their future life in Morbihan
